Ethical Fashion with Autonomie Project

Fair Trade Fashion and Footwear

Autonomie Project is a new Fair Trade fashion company offering stylish sweatshop-free & eco-friendly footwear, clothing and accessories. Born out of the frustration that most sweatshop-free clothing was unfashionable and most eco-friendly clothing was likely made in a sweatshop (and that most major corporations lack any kind of true transparency), a few good friends set off to start a new and different company. Their mission: to supply high-quality, stylish garments to consumers that seek to make purchases that align with their values without having to sacrifice their own personal style. All while making a positive social impact on our earth and raising awareness about today’s most pressing global issues.

Their workers are paid a fair wage so they can beat out sweatshops and enjoy a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. They work exclusively with small, independent cooperatives and Fair Trade-certified facilities located in developing areas of the world where they can use some of the funds to help with the social upliftment of those communities, such as building a health clinic or bringing a steady water supply to a small village.

Autonomie Project uses organic cotton, all natural FSC rubber, and other eco-friendly & locally-sourced materials whenever possible to lessen the environmental impact. Animal products are never used and they encourage cruelty-free purchases. They also assist their workers with the development and marketing of their products so that they may prosper and become thriving participants in a reconfigured global marketplace.

Their clothing and footwear is wearable, funky and fashionable! Always vegan , always eco, and always sweatshop-free so that you can wear your values and still look good!

We love their white low-top sneakers for an eco upgrade of the preppy look. The sneakers are made with 100% Fair Trade-certified organic cotton canvas upper and tough rubber sole. The sole is produced and stamped with FSC-certified all natural and sustainable latex. (pictured below)
