Spiezia Organics & Balm Balm arrive in SA

New to SA´s eco beauty shores are the Balm Balm and Spiezia Organics skincare ranges, which launched in the country last month. According to love green´s Sue Rowan, the sole importer of the 100% natural skincare products, it’s time for South African consumers to catch up to the rest of the world when it comes to caring for our bodies. “Research shows the average woman applies over 200 chemicals to her skin daily via the skin care products she uses”, says Rowan. “My advice is, if you can’t pronounce it; don’t put it on your skin!”

For those of you who have used the Spiezia line before will understand what I mean when I say this: Spiezia Organics is 100% organic luxury in a bottle! I appreciate that the founders mean what they say when they say “a little goes a long way“, as with these products it really does! When I first looked at the press pack I thought it would only last about a week or so but you only need to use a tiny amount of product for each application so although on the pricy side, the product does go further than many other facial brands.

The Rose & Vanilla face oil is definitely my favourite product from the skincare line, followed by the nourishing moisturiser. The face oil is a real treat and smells good enough to eat! It left my skin feeling soft, with that youthful dewy look. It´s rich, nourishing and smooth – absolutely love it. After seeing the results, my boyfriend noted that this was what he needed for his face! Think I may just have to get him the men´s starter kit as a stocking stuffer this year!

The facial starter kit is perfect for travelling, there is also a baby rage, room sprays, hair care and a body range I can´t wait to try. I need to get my hands on the After Sun Oil which will be a must-have this summer. I must admit I love the brightly coloured packaging which is an instant pick me up in itself! FYI ladies, the facial cleanser is a winner when it comes to removing stubborn make-up such as waterproof mascara.

Keep Balm and carry on

Balm Balm is the second natural range in love green´s stable. I got to try out the face and lip balm. I love that all the balms are multi-purpose (and affordable!) so although they say lip balm, you can also use on hands, face, elbows and feet – or anywhere on the body that needs some nourishing, should you want to. This not only reduces the amount of products you have to buy but makes Balm Balm handbag friendly too! I am also super chuffed with my handbag make-up mirror which has come in handy for touch ups before meetings during the day or when out at night.

Both products are definitely going be a permanent feature in my beauty bag. Thanks love green for bringing these eco fabulous beauty treats to our sunny shores, we are HUGE fans!
