With my own wedding coming up in March, this is a topic that I have been dedicating quite a bit of time to lately. Here are our top tips on how to recycled your wedding dress. Even celebs do it, check out Keira Knightly’s Chanel Couture wedding dress above, which she recycled thrice!
When selecting your design, go for a shape that could easily be adapted into a cute cocktail dress or choose to go with separate pieces. Think corset type top and then full, layered skirt. Fabric choice and colour is also important. If your wedding dress style is a boob-tube, add mesh sleeves for a winter look. The options are endless if you’re clever with your original design.
With all the money, time and effort that goes into choosing your dress it makes sense to be able to wear it more than once but be sure to visit a professional dressmaker to do the alterations.
