EDUN, J. Crew Collaborate on African-Made Childrenswear

EDUN has teamed up with J.Crew’s children’s division to create a line of clothes for mini philanthropists. Part of the high-street retailer’s “Garments for Good” initiative, the EDUN for J.Crew collection features exclusive, made-in-Kenya designs, including a T-shirt that benefits St. Ann’s Orphanage in Gilgil, a town in Nakuru County.

Marks & Spencer Debuts First Line of Sustainable Footwear

“Footglove Earth,” is the first line of sustainable footwear from Marks & Spencer. Part of the British department store’s so-called “Plan A” environmental strategy, the shoes comprise a variety of post-consumer waste, such as coffee grounds in the fabric lining, rice husk–blended natural rubber for the soles, plastic bottles for internal reinforcements, and recycled foam for padded comfort.
